Vantage AMR is a new breed of predator, 95kg lighter in weight, and boasting a seven-speed manual transmission. This is a beast designed to deliver pure, engaging, manual performance.

BEAUTIFUL WON’T BE TAMED

UNMISTAKABLE PRESENCE

Like the archetypal hunter, everything has been finely tuned for a purpose. Sculptural forms create an athletic predatory stance, while muscular flanks and broad haunches express the agility and dynamism inherent to the car.

A STATEMENT OF INTENT

The signature ultra-slim rear light graphic illuminates the full-width of the tailgate, accentuated by the flick in the Vantage’s tail. It provocatively expresses the car’s animalistic character in what is set to become an iconic symbol of performance.

IMMERSIVE AND FOCUSED

The distinctive cockpit feel of the interior is one of absolute focus and functionality. A lower driving position creates a more immersive experience, intimately connecting the driver with the car and the road ahead.

ORIGIN OF SPECIES

Aston Martin’s principles of purity and beautiful proportion remain uncompromised. While Vantage has made significant advancements, echoes of the magnificent bloodline can still be seen. Ever since the nameplate launched in the 1950s as an upgrade to the DB2, Vantage has been synonymous with performance, becoming our flagship sports car. Continued success in World Endurance Racing, as recently as 2017’s GTE Pro category class victory at Le Mans 24 Hours, has underpinned Aston Martin’s racing DNA

NATURAL SELECTION

The nose of the clamshell bonnet is pitched towards the ground, as if hunting its prey. Distinctive and assertive features like the three-dimensional S curve surrounding the meshed grille, or the focused expression of its ultra-slim LED headlights, instantly portray Vantage’s beautifully intense visual character.

HONED OVER A GENERATION

The traditional side strake has been reinvented for more dynamic benefits, ducting air from the wheels to reduce drag. The front splitter is integral to Vantage’s aerodynamic design. As well as delivering true down force, it assists cooling by feeding air to the braking system. In a first for an Aston Martin production car, the underside of the car has been designed to guide airflow from the front splitter to the rear diffuser, producing downforce for increased grip and enhanced stability.

SHARP SPORTING AGILITY

Our talented engineers sought the ideal foundation for the new Vantage, crafting its frame from lightweight, bonded aluminium. The inherent sporting agility comes from its compact dimensions, an impressive weight of just 1,530kg* and near perfect 50:50 weight distribution. A rigid subframe within this backbone delivers enhanced stability for the suspension. The overwhelming benefit is beautifully responsive control behind the wheel; car and driver connecting symbiotically to deliver unrivalled excitement and dynamic drivability. *Dry weight including lightweight options

ULTIMATE RESPONSE

The suspension has a forged double wishbone design at the front and a multi-link system at the rear. Adaptive damping with sensors on the car detect the prevailing driving conditions, as well as the demands the driver is making of the car. The master cylinder and booster have been updated to ensure the Vantage feels and responds as a true sports car, creating a more responsive, confidence inspiring drive.

ENHANCED CONTROL

More technological innovation comes with Dynamic Torque Vectoring and an Electronic Rear Differential, linked to the Vantage’s electronic stability control system. A first for an Aston Martin, the Electronic Rear Differential’s speed and sensitivity of response enhances cornering performance, high speed stability and manoeuvrability, enabling the driver to fully explore the Vantage’s dynamic capabilities.

INTENSE AND BEAUTIFUL

Vantage’s high-performance V8 power house is positioned low and further back in the chassis to improve weight distribution and driving dynamics, leaving a lasting impression well beyond the drive. Effortless, inherent potency comes from the engine’s extraordinary 510 PS output and 685 Nm of torque fed through Vantage’s ZF automatic transmission. The eight-speed gearbox delivers the perfect balance of performance and refinement, with adaptive software designed to gauge the operating conditions – along with the demands the driver is making – to ensure the car is in exactly the right gear at the right time.

A VISCERAL ROAR

Our dedicated engineers have tuned the induction, exhaust and engine management system to retain the truly intoxicating sound and immersive character of a naturally aspirated V8 – that unforgettable quality synonymous with an Aston Martin. In Track mode it can be felt especially, amplifying the driver’s connection with the car and unleashing the car’s track capabilities to intensify the experience in the cabin. Such is the abundance of satisfyingly sensory experiences behind the wheel, that Vantage becomes the most justifiable of indulgences.

INTELLIGENTLY CRAFTED

The interior is one of absolute focus and functionality. Controls like the new designed sport-orientated gearshift paddles are optimally positioned. Likewise, the gear selection buttons are uniquely placed in the centre console, with the Aston Martin Audio System, 8” LCD screen and integrated satellite navigation all impressively reconfigured around the driver.

A high performance feel throughout the interior of luxury Alcantara® and leather is the result of a timeless dedication to exquisite levels of craftsmanship. While the optional Sports Plus seats place even more emphasis on out-and-out performance driving, Vantage also impresses with its everyday usability, with 350 litres of boot space

Ultra Compact

A tautly tailored fabric hood features a compact powered Z-fold mechanism that ensures rapid operation (lowered in 6.7 or raised in 6.8 seconds at speeds of up to 50kmh/31mph). In fact, the roof of Vantage Roadster is now twice as fast as its predecessors.

A new breed is born

The heart of Vantage AMR remains as Aston Martin’s potent 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, propelling Vantage AMR from 0-60mph in just 3.9 seconds and 0-62mph in 4.0 seconds. While performance is at the forefront of all Vantage models, Vantage AMR is a very different breed, delivering the involvement and driver engagement that only a manual can offer.
